- City Harvest - Donors who have 50 lbs. or more of food that meets City Harvests food safety guidelines can schedule a pick-up on an as-needed basis. If you have a donation of 50 lbs. or more you would like picked up, please call 917.351.8731. After hours please leave this information with our Dispatch office voice mail box and we will call the next business day to arrange a pick-up.
- Furnish a Future - The Partnership for the Homeless is committed to fostering a just society and creating lasting community change through solution-oriented programs and policy initiatives that eliminate the root causes of homelessness.
Since 1991, Furnish a Future, a program of The Partnership for the Homeless, continues to help nearly 2,000 formerly homeless families and individuals leaving city shelters each year furnish their new apartments with new and lightly-used furniture and household goods. With your support, we can help formerly homeless families design, furnish and create homes they can call their own and experience the peace of mind and stability that comes from living in a permanent residence
- Special E - Special E is a unique "green" business that rescues leftovers from meetings, trade shows, conferences, banquets, parties, weddings and special events, then recycles and re-purposes these items in ways that help our planet and people in need. - Materials for the Arts - Materials for the Arts is a reuse organization that helps artists realize their visions, provides students with a richer educational experience, and furnishes businesses with a simple and efficient way to enhance the cultural life of New York City, while promoting environmental awareness and reuse.
Materials for the Arts, a program of the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, currently serves over 3700 members from the arts and cultural community and the Department of Education, including music, performance, cinema, technology, theatrical, architecture, tv, literary, and dance among the arts groups. Additionally, MFTA provides materials to community services, senior, health, and evironmental programs, and government agencies with an ongoing, public arts program.
